I arrived at the 7th in dec 1968, green as the hills of ky and dumb as a post. Not much has changed i guess. Does anyone remember the LZ number or name of the LZ at 34. Those days are now in a fog to me and I don't remember things well. Our company office was right next to the LZ and just over the hill was our perimeter positions. Does anyone remember when we were rocketed and shelled. from dec 68-apr69 when we moved to china beach. Also does anyone remember the army base near Danang where they had their own

Hill 34 came under attack in dec 68- or jan and feb 69 I can't remember much. I hope that someone out there could help and sort out the details. I know the rockets were headed for the air base but the mortar rounds fell way short and there was a fire fight that night. We sustained damage and was in our perimeter posts for hours and hours does anyone remember the dates. thanks much jb

My name is Russ Horosinski, I was with 7th Comm from sept 68 to sept 69. I was in the motor pool, H&S Company. I remember the night we took some rockets but not the dates. I remember several falling on the east side of our perimiter between bunkers 8 & 9. I also remember being in the bunkers and trenches the day the danang ammo dump blew up. We left for china beach right after that.

It's not clear if the names on the above message is one name or two, but in either case, James Wolfman, James Bates or both of you, we'd like to be able to get you on our Bn. Roster. Their is no obligation to join the Association, but by being on the roster other guys who recognize your name will have a source they can contact to get in touch with you. I hope you will consider filling out the roster form found in the "Battalion Roster" section of the Corkboard.

My name is Ron Valentine(evil val). I was with Comm. Support Co. I arrived in Nov.67 joined our company in Dong Ha (attached to 3RD MAR. DIV.) We returned to hill 34 in 68 the month is unclear. I do remember the rocket attacks, the sound of the 122mm rockets is in my mind forever. The LZ number is unclear to me. What company were you in?
