I was there from dec 1968 till we moved to china beach, does anyone remember the incident when we were being shelled and a young ignorant marine was standing on top of the LZ watching the flashes of gun fire from below. It was me and thanks to the Gunny I was knocked down and put on the fifty that night

i was there dec 68 untii we moved to china beach--i do remember the supply warehouse being shelled-mortared( i worked in warehouse made supply runs -requisitioned supplies)-then we had to rebuild- i remember bunker duty nightly-my trusty m-60 and many flares - bunker no. 8 i think?-fuzzy on remembering alot-but we had a nice messhall-actual tin plates to eat on-remember sniper fire and the show put on one sunday afternoon displaying how quickly the gooks could get through our barbed wire-i remember ammo dump being set on fire a mile or two away and exploding bombs that lasted about 24 hours--quite the fireworks display-did everyone there get the combat action ribbon --i didnt know what it was till later in life--i remember field troops coming to warehouse and giving them everything i could=socks-shoes-etc. and feeling bad for them as they went back into field--live in florida now but not quite as hot as the nam-ha-ha-god bless you guys--sgt phillips

I was the Motor Pool Dispatcher from 1969 and 1970 made the trip to Okinawa via a LST. I was happt to just get out of Vietnam!
