For those of you that knew Cpl. Tim (Tex) Thompson I'm sorry to inform you all that he passed away in 1998. Tim died from cancer that was Agent Orange related. Tim was one of the nicest people I ever met. When I arrived at 7th Comm. in July 1967 Tim had been there for awhile. He always looked out for the new guys, made sure we got the eguipment we needed and let us know what was going on. I'll never forget him. Go in Peace Brother. Semper Fi

Thank you for remembering our most special Tim!! After you told me about this site, Mike, I have been back to it several times. It was nice to see pictures of you both and to "meet" the two caring gentlemen with whom I spoke yesterday. I did not sleep much last night, and a million questions are going through my mind. If you wouldn't mind, I would like to ask you some of them. I mailed the package today, and it included the pictures I did not throw away, a commerative book from Camp Pendleton, etc. George, you are a wizard! I tried that AnyWho.com and got no where! I am guessing you paid to get the info. Thank you! You made a difference! Elaine Thompson

On April 23, both of my children and I were honored to meet Mike and Linda Fink! I felt as though I had known them forever. Mike and Linda also met Tim's mom. How special! Mike has kept in touch since he first called, and he helped me solve the mystery of the person for whom my son was named. From Mike's call on February 3, it has been an amazing journey! During the journey, I have met phenomenal people (aren't ALL Marines???) And, peace has come into the hearts of the family left when my Andy's namesake died...39 years later.
I know that the reunion will be very special!
