In 1968 we had a Hawain hog roast down at the beach. I remember having to guys from Hawaii in our company at that time. One was a Gunny and the other was a PFC or L/Cpl. I think. The pictures just posted are of a beach party in 1969, but I remember this one in '68. Does anyone else?

I remember this particular Beach Party also. It was the best pork I have ever eaten. I remember being part of a group who helped uncover the hog which was buried in the sand. I'm thinking the PFC was either in school with me or we went to 29 Palms together after Nam. I have some memories of going other places with him in the states. I'll check out my photos and see if I can find other info on him.

Dennis, Your name sound vaguely familiar. I was also with the ROK's. Some of the guys I remember were Webber or Web, Sgt. Helix (big man, loved to box) Cpl. Cannon, we all worked in the Comm Center. Took Tai Kwan do on our off time. We were close to the beach.

Richard,I seem to remember Your name but nothing else.I remember the name Helix, and Cannon.I have a picture of Cannon,he had a mustache and like sandy hair.I was up on the Hill(Radio relay).I think Lt.Sykes and a Black Gunny were in charge when I was there.I was there a month or two until I went on a Relay shot at Dien Ban(Korean 105 Battery),where I stayed until I was about to rotate. Thanks for Weighing In S/F S.Stefan
